Wow! It’s already week three of code immersion!
It is hard to believe week three of class at TTS has already started. Time seems to fly by, but at the same time we have learned and accomplished so much that it’s hard to believe it has only been two weeks. I am also a student at Arizona State University studying for my BS in Software Engineering, so I came into class with some previous coding experience. Even though I have a strong foundation in coding already, TTS is keeping me on my toes! It is amazing how much we have learned in such a short amount of time, the pace is most definitely accelerated.
My favorite aspect of TTS is the community. Guest speakers and field trips to meet others in the Atlanta tech scene are plenty, and serve as a perfect opportunity to make connections and get yourself out there. It is refreshing to meet others who are just as passionate about engineering as they are willing to help others. Not only that, but we have all been asked for input on what companies and guest speakers we would like to meet. I am absolutely stoked to meet the director of a gaming company that I have been interested in! It also exciting to see what other classmates are working on and interested in, and you definitely develop friendships and bond with them in the class.
I am excited about what the next six weeks have in store. The knowledge that I have already gained has helped me ten-fold and the connections I have built may last a lifetime. I can honestly say that Tech Talent South has provided me the perfect environment for learning, growth, and community. I am truly looking forward to what the rest of this journey holds, in the classroom and beyond!
